52 Weeks Of Romance/Naughty Nights Review

Posted on September 11th, 2009 in Reviews

Swag Fetish FridaysI don’t normally review more than one product in a single post, but in this case I am comparing and contrasting two versions of the same game so it seemed appropriate to talk about both of them at once.

52 Weeks of Romance and 52 Weeks of Naughty Nights are really less like games, and more like sexy suggestion cards.  There are cards for Him and cards for Her, and you scratch away the surface to read your erotic ‘task’.  These tasks are supposed to be kept secret from your lover, and some of them are to be accomplished over the course of several days, or require a bit of planning (such as a weekend getaway in a hotel).

There are 52 cards in each set, so that you take turns with your lover, which I think is a good idea considering some of the suggestions might not work out if your partner is trying to plan something themselves at the same time.  I am the Queen Of Ruining Surprises this way, so when you know it’s not your turn you don’t end up ruining their surprise.

As the names suggest, 52 Weeks of Romance focuses a lot more on courtship and flirtation than sex itself.  I don’t want to ruin it for you, so I am only sharing a couple of suggestions from each game, to give you an idea of what is in store for you:

For Him To Read

“Draw your loved one a special bubble bath, complete with candles and soft music.  Take care of any pressing matters ahead of time so you can sit next to the tub or inside it with her for an uninterrupted romantic moment.”

For Her To Read

“Seduce your loved one over the course of this week.  Start things off by sending him a sexy love note.  Each day following entice him with suggestive instructions, tantalizing visions, and alluring possibilities.  Let his mind run wild thinking of you.”

52 Weeks Of Naughty NightsI find these sorts of things particularly useful if you are the type that becomes so overwhelmed with the daily grind that you have a hard time making romance a priority.  You would be surprised at how simple it is to put in the extra effort when you have a little reminder.  Sometimes all you need is a little nudge in the right direction.

52 Weeks of Naughty Nights features suggestions that are a little more, shall we say, risque.  Nothing too over the top by most people’s standards (they aren’t trying to make you do anything uncomfortable) but just enough to spice things up.

For Him To Read

“With a silk scarf or one of your silk ties, gently blindfold your lover.  Ease her into this ‘blindfolded’ adventure by whispering something sexy.  Tell her how you are going to have your way with her.  Touch your lover lightly and seductively.  See her quiver as she anticipates your next move.”

For Her To Read

“Plan a day when the two of you can ‘go to bed’ a little earlier than usual.  Prepare some nibbly foods that you can feed to him, or eat off of him!  Make him feel extra special and surprise him with chocolate sauce or honey, and drizzle on parts of his body to really make him sizzle!

So maybe some of it seems a little cheesy, but even having gone WAY past their idea of ‘naughty’ that still sounds pretty hot to me.  The first time I read the one about the blindfold, I totally got the tingles.  Yum!  Even for the kinky-at-heart sex doesn’t always have to be extreme.  Sometimes simple is seductive, so don’t be deterred from trying one of these out because you feel like you’ve already done everything under the sun.  When was the last time you licked honey off of someone?  I don’t know about you, but it’s been a while for me.  Hmmmmm…

I did find some overlap in suggestions between games (although I haven’t scratched all of them, because that would ruin part of the fun) so if I were going to purchase them for a friend or lover I would chose one or the other (you can always go back for the second game next year).  Something like this would be a great Valentine’s or anniversary gift.

Between the two I don’t really have a favorite.  I think it really depends on what your personal tastes are, and what sorts of things you and your lover enjoy doing together.  You can purchase both of these games, along with sex toys and other novelties at Vibrator.com
