Fore-Playing Cards Review

I’ve been making an effort to expand my product reviews beyond the realm of ‘conventional’ sex toys, since variety is a good thing. Along that vein, today I am featuring Fore-Playing Cards, provided to me by Sensual Direct.
One of the main complaints I hear from women when it comes to sex, is that their partners do not provide enough foreplay before sexual intercourse. Men, speaking generally, do not need as much of a warm up for intercourse, as compared to women. This lack of foreplay can lead to dissatisfaction and resentment on the part of the female, which is very unfortunate.
There are a number of products out there designed to improve foreplay. Everything from Naughty Dice
to elaborate games. I chose this particular product because it’s more or less, middle of the road as far as simplicity goes.
When I opened the box, I’ll admit I was a tad disappointed. I was expecting something sexy and erotic when it came to the aesthetics of the cards themselves. Instead they were ugly, designed with very unpleasant looking blue and red colors. The included candles were also quite cheap, and smelled strongly of low quality wax.
I would prefer that the cards be a more appealing color and design, and that they re-think including candles if they are going to skimp on the quality.
That aside, I was looking forward to trying out the cards. The other night Jack and I turned off the computers and the TV and settled down together with some snacks and our cards to have a game. One of the cards includes a list of items you should have on hand while playing. Nothing especially complicated, things like whipped topping, beverages, a camera, etc.
These cards are actually formatted like a deck of regular playing cards. On the face of each card (besides the suit/number/face) are two boxes, one red and one blue. Inside of the box are a set of instructions, such as ‘have partner remove one article’ or ‘kiss and lick partners nipples’. The color of the box denotes the phase of play. Phase One (the blue boxes) generally include things like removal of clothing, kissing, fondling through clothes. Basically, the beginning stages of foreplay. Phase Two (the red boxes) raises the bar with instructions for oral sex, mutual masturbation, licking food off of each other, and so forth.
None of the cards mention penetrative intercourse (penis in vagina) because that generally will end up happening on its own *wink wink*.
Let me tell you, we had a riot with these cards. We played for almost 2 hours before we actually had sex, and it was a great deal of fun. You can adapt these cards for almost any game (we played Texas Hold’Em since we’re about the same skill level at that) although just drawing one from the deck and following the instructions is just as much fun.
Both Jack and I are looking forward to playing with these (and each other) again really soon. Perhaps this weekend I would certainly recommend it for couples or even a group of open minded adults. Jack and I figured you could adapt it for more people quite easily (lowest hand would be considered the ‘partner’ for the winning hand). Maybe a great icebreaker for a swingers party/orgy.
Since looks matter when it comes to toys and products I play with, I docked a point from the rating, but when it comes to how fun/exciting/effective these cards are for the intended use, it gets top marks from both of us.

Great review Shasta! That sounds like a very fun game to play and something I would really enjoy with Master Anakin. I’ve seen some of the erotic games but havn’t done any other than some dice with foreplay on them. This one looks neat.
Thanks for reviewing it!
It was great talking to you today.

I am honest: When I am hot, I have not the patience to play games…
