All I can say right now is WOW. I never expected my previous post, written from sheer boredom, to garner such an uproar in the comments section.
First, I want to thank all the commenters, Anonymous or otherwise, even the rude ones. You certainly have provided Jack and I with a lot of food for thought. Also I want to especially thank the commenters that stopped by to offer support and encouragement.
Swan and Tom, I wanted to thank the two of you especially. I know you don’t “weigh in” often around here (I’ve been reading your blog, so I know ya’ll are quite busy) and I sure appreciate your point of view and heartfelt well-wishes. As two people with heaps more life experience than me in this particular situation, I respect and welcome your opinions. So thanks.
Secondly, I wanted to say that I will never restrict anonymous commenters from this blog. I like that people take the time to share their opinions with me, even if I don’t agree, and even if I find their views personally insulting. I would ask however that we try to keep the personal insults between commenters to a minimum, if not for the sake of manners, at least in an effort to keep the discussion on topic.
All that aside, I am sure a few of you are curious about how the weekend has been going.
Last night we had K over for supper. We decided to feed the kids and get them to bed, and then the three of us would have our supper (plus we were doing fondue and kids and hot oil don’t mix very well, LOL). By the time Jack got off work and he and K arrived, it was just about bed time for the children. We allowed them to stay up a little late, since they were obviously curious about K.
K and I were careful to act ‘normal’ around the kids, almost to the point of being standoffish to each other. They liked K, and of course he was excellent with them. Finally it was bed time, Jack and I got them upstairs and settled and then the three of us sat down and ate.
Basically the evening went very well. We had supper, cleaned up a little, and then went up to bed. Yes, there was sex. No we did not scar our kids for life. As always, when one of them woke up they waited in bed for one of us to come and see what the matter was. We were quiet about it, and although we didn’t carry on all night, everyone went to sleep in their respective beds quite satisfied (K slept alone in the spare room, Jack and I slept in our room). Nothing horrible happened, the earth did not implode, and we don’t regret doing it.
This morning Jack got up with the kids and allowed me some extra sleep. Once I dragged myself out of bed I made breakfast, we all ate, and then Jack went to shower while K and I played with the kids. We hung out some more and then Jack took K back home on his way to a car show that he is going to with V.
It was really not a big deal at all.
I don’t know if I’ll be posting any details about the sex. Even though I don’t allow the negative comments from the previous post to get to me, they certainly don’t put me in the mood to write about sex.
Anyway, thus far my weekend has been excellent.

Stiletto Girl,
I’m so glad the dinner with you and K and J all went good and you had a enjoyable night.
I understand why you don’t want to talk about the details of the night but I admit I am really curious to know how it all went. *grins* I’m so glad your having a good weekend.
HUGS

What do you mean no details about the sex. What do you think we read this for?
Glad it all went well.
