Door Jam Bondage Device Review

I think that this Door Jam Bondage Device would be a really awesome stocking stuffer for a pal or sweetie who is perhaps curious about BDSM, but feels somewhat intimidated by many of the more restrictive implements commonly associated with bondage and kink. Or maybe you want to drop a sort of subtle hint to a lover about your desire to be retrained, or to restrain them, but you don’t want to freak them out with anything too hardcore.

These over-the-door straps with D-rings come from Extreme Restraints, although they certainly aren’t all that extreme, and I mean that in a nice way.

Made of durable materials, with sturdy stoppers, these things may look flimsy but I can assure you they will stand up to a lot of abuse.  The included cuffs, on the other hand, probably won’t.  I do like that they include some basic and comfortable velcro cuffs, so they certainly win points for that.  If you’re just into very light bondage, and you won’t be putting a lot of strain on the cuffs, by all means use the ones that come with the straps.  The key-ring and snap they use to attach the cuffs to the D-ring won’t hold up to a lot, so I would encourage you to replace them with a quick link.  If you’re looking for some better quality cuffs I would personally recommend these or these.

The very, very best thing about these bondage straps is that they are ideal for kinky folks who travel, or for those who don’t want to or can’t put up and permanent hard wear in their walls or ceiling!  They are lightweight, inconspicuous, and you can take them anywhere.  Going away for the weekend and planning some hot fun in your hotel room?  These are exactly what I would like to have in that situation.  No hassles with a lot of rope or having to get inventive with the furniture at hand in your room.

Getting two pairs will also allow you to use them for ankle restraints as well.  Simply slip them between the door and the frame on either side at the bottom of the door.  Get creative!  I can think of a number of ways to use these simple, yet effective little gems.

Another rather excellent quality of these, is that they are easily explained away as a device for exercise.  Tell people you use them with resistance bands for some strength training exercises.

To clean them simply rinse with warm water, or hand wash them with a little fabric soap.  I would advise you to remove the stoppers before doing so.  Leave them out to dry thoroughly before storing.

These straps are NOT designed for suspension, so please do not attempt to use them for any serious load-bearing activities.

In a nut shell, they are affordable, durable, and certainly handy for beginners and more experienced players a like.
