Up until recently, I had never had the extreme pleasure of trying out silicone lubricant. In my defence, Jack and I rarely use lubricant (except for anal play and vaginal fisting) so I hadn’t given a lot of thought to types of lubricant and the pros and cons of each.

Spicy Gear was generous enough to throw in a bottle of Pjur Eros BodyGlide Original silicone lube along with the awesome toys they sent me. I was interested in giving it a go, especially to discover the differences between it and water-based lubricant.

Our first experiment with said lube involved Jack’s rear end and a certain steel toy, wielded by yours truly. The first thing I noticed is that it’s much runnier than water-based lube. It has a consistency similar to cooking oil, and a little bit goes a long, long way.

Much to our delight, silicone lube does not become sticky and dried out like water-based lube can become. It seems to last forever and ever. It’s also more slick feeling than water-based lube, doing a superior job of reducing any unpleasant friction.

Unlike water-based lubricant, which obviously will wash away with water, silicone lubricant is ideal for use under, ahem…wet conditions. No, not that kind of wet, I am talking about in the shower, bath tub, pool, hot tub, slip ‘n’ slide, etc. You may have to reapply a little more often in those situations, but it’ll last you ages longer than KY or similar.

Another thing I’ve heard it’s excellent for (although I can’t speak to this personally) is for skin-on-skin friction in non-sexual situations. I am talking about the insides of your thighs rubbing together when you wear a dress or skirt. For some people, this is an uncomfortable problem, particularly if you are heavier set. Just apply a little silicone lubricant to the insides of your thighs and it will apparently help a great deal.

The only thing that I disliked about silicone lubricant is that it will not easily wipe off with a little tissue (like water-based lubricant). That slick, somewhat oily feeling will last until you shower and scrub with soap, or until you clean yourself VERY well with WetOnes. It’s fine you have such things handy, and the time to use them, but if you’re having a quickie on the way out the door to your yoga class, you’re going to be stuck with that feeling for a while. I am sure that won’t bother everyone, but for me it’s a little…icky. However, not worth subtracting points over, just wanted to mention that.

When you use silicone lubricant with sex toys, it might take some effort to scrub it off of some surfaces. Also, NEVER, EVER use silicone lubricant with a silicone sex toy. The chemical properties of the silicone lube will destroy your toys. You must use water-based lubricant only with silicone toys. However, there is a small loophole. If you are very careful to use a condom on your sex toy, and insure that the silicone lubricant never comes into contact with the surface of the toy, you’ll be fine. Silicone lubricant is fine for steel, glass, latex/rubber, and plastic. Due to the porous nature, I don’t recommend it for jelly toys either.

I’ve been converted. I’ll never go back to water-based lubricant again!

I remember someone telling me about the Fukouko Massage Glove some time ago. The concept sounded sort of odd to me, so I was interested in trying this particular toy out when Pleasure Me Now offered the chance.

If it has something on it that seems really tough to get off, try scrubbing the spot with a small, soft brush and some soap, or leave the whole glove to soak in soap and warm water.

After much vigorous testing, I am pleased to finally be writing a review of the ever-popular and somewhat famous Fleshlight. I’ve been looking forward to this particular review for some time. After several requests for this product, and thanks to the generosity of the awesome people at Pleasure Me Now, I bring you The Pleasure Swing!

First of all I offer some tips in instillation. For those of you intimidated by putting up something intended to be heavy-duty load bearing, you can always buy a stand for it. If you have a tall partner (like mine) that might limit the amount of positions you can do.

Have a little confidence, putting this thing in is not rocket science

Tools You Will Need:

A good stud finder (you buy these at a hardware store. Fork over the extra bucks for a good one)

An electric drill (contrary to the instructions that come with the swing, you cannot put this thing up without drilling a hole first)

Two drill bits - The thinnest one you can find and another that is just slightly thinner than the eye-bolt for the swing

Tacks and some newspaper (if you have a textured ceiling)

Alright, here we go, now pay attention:

1. If you know which direction the ceiling joists in your house run, all the better. If not, maybe check out your unfinished basement. They will be the same all through the house. If you don’t, study how your roof looks from the outside. If there are peaks (as in like this) on the front of your house, it’s likely the joists run from side to side. If the peaks are on the sides of your house (like this) then they probably run from front to back. If you really can’t figure it out, that’s ok too, that’s why you bought that stud finder.

2. Go to the room where you want to put up the swing. Bring your tools and a stool. If you have a textured ceiling take the tacks and newspaper and tack pieces of it up (overlapping) on the area where you want the swing to go. This will allow your stud finder to slide smoothly over the rough surface. If you have a smooth ceiling, ignore that part.

3. If you know which way your joists are going, run the stud finder back and forth across the ceiling in the opposite direction that the joists are going. When your stud finder detects a joist, mark the spot where the edge of the joist starts. Come from the other direction with the stud finder to locate the other edge, mark that as well. Now you can find the center of the joist, hooray! If you don’t know which way the joists run start by sliding your stud finder along the ceiling from side to side. If it beeps every 16 inches or so, it’s likely that your joists are running front to back. If it doesn’t beep at all try sliding it from front to back. Once you establish which way they are running, proceed with the steps described above.

4. Once you know where the center of the joist is, you will want to drill a test hole, to make sure you’ve found the joist. Take the smallest drill bit you have and drill in between your two markings. You should feel the drill bit hit something more solid once you get through the drywall. Once you’ve drilled a little ways into the solid part, pull the bit back out and you should be able to identify some wood particles on it. That’s a good thing. IF you don’t feel that you’ve hit something solid, try drilling a quarter of an inch to the left or right of the hole.

5. Now that you’ve found the joist for sure, get out the big drill bit and drill a hole deep into the joist. Don’t worry about compromising the integrity of your joists, I promise they can handle this sort of thing. The reason you need to pre-drill rather than just trying to screw the eye-bolt into the ceiling is because screwing something like that into wood without a pre-made hole will cause the wood to split and splinter, which is bad.

6. Once the hole is made, start screwing in the eye-bolt. Tighten it as much as you can and then I suggest attaching the swing to it and then using that to turn the eye-bolt some more until the ring portion is just about touching the ceiling.

7. To test it out begin by laying across the support slings and put some weight on it. With someone spotting you, get into the swing and bounce up and down a little. Watch the ring for a lot of wiggling back and forth or if it seems to be pulling out of the ceiling. If you somehow have failed to screw it into a joist, it’ll pull loose pretty much immediately. Time to start over if that happens. If not, you’re set to go!

Once we got it all set up, I climbed in (with a stool and some assistance). Jack is very tall and I am not, so I need to use a stool to get into this thing. That’s perfectly ok. I do not suggest getting in to it without a little assistance.

So basically the longer sling part goes under your rear, the shorter one goes across your back (around the shoulder blade area) and the two smaller slings are for your feet/legs. There are a LOT of positions you can chose from, creativity with it is half the fun. The swing itself comes with a little booklet that suggests a few good positions to get you started.

This swing is incredible. Out of all the sex toys I’ve tried it is without a doubt my favorite. Boy was I excited when Bliss from Black Label Luxury Sex Toys offered me one of the coolest (and smallest) vibrators I’d ever seen for review. Black Label is a relatively new but sleek little adult site catering to people who don’t want to spend money on cheap sex toys. They only carry the highest quality products and you don’t feel like a pervert shopping there. It reminds me very much of a swanky boutique, and I like that when I am shopping for things to use on my girly parts. Their goal is to make people feel relaxed and comfortably while perusing their tastefully done web pages and I certainly feel that they have done an excellent job of it.

Now, on to the toy!

The Lelo Lily Mini Vibrator is a top of the line sex toys for women who know what they want. Made out of satiny high-grade silicone making it easy to clean and safe for water-based and silicone-based lubricants.

A few other awesome things about the Lelo is the fact that it doesn’t need any batteries! This little baby comes with it’s own charger (similar to that of a cell phone) so you’ll never be scrambling to the drugstore just so you can get yourself off.

Two very simple buttons make it so easy to use! One button turns it on and also increases the vibration, the other turns it off and also decreases the vibrations. Pretty simple really.

The Lelo is also whisper quiet. Unlike some vibes I own which sound like a jet engine starting up, you can use the Lelo anywhere and no one will be the wiser (even in the bathroom stall at the pub! Don’t ask how I know that :P)

This little toy is also ergonomically designed to fit comfortably against the curves of a woman’s nether bits. Tuck it snugly into the front of your panties while you do your housework to provide a special thrill that dusting your thimble collection just doesn’t give you.

I really loved the soft feel of this vibrator, and it’s extraordinarily small. I am talking tiny! Like the size of a chickens egg. I was somewhat concerned about it not being water proof, and I suspect lubricant might build up around the buttons and in the opening for the charger. They may want to consider adding a small rubber plug (again, like you often find on cell phones) to be used during cleaning and use. However, there is also the option of using a condom to cover the toy entirely, but that somewhat defeats the excellent soft-touch surface of this toy.

My only other criticism is that I didn’t find this toy quite powerful enough for my personal tastes. I did manage to orgasm with it after some effort, but I felt it could have packed a little more oomph. That said, many women (such as V) prefer a less intense vibration. While she found the Hitachi Magic Wand to be WAY too strong, I find it quite pleasurable. Different strokes for different folks and all that. This could also be considered a fabulous foreplay toy, much like the Je Joue Massager.
