a friend had a lovely set of lagostina cookware. she also had an incredibly inconsiderate roomate. said roomie used one of her best pots to boil a buttplug, submerged in more than enough water. i’m not sure exactly where things went from wrong to really, really wrong, but after an extended period of unattended boiling the buttplug EXPLODED, send pieces of silicone flying in all directions. the pot was ruined, the stove was covered in melted silicone, but best of all, there was buttplug shrapnel fused into the ceiling. nice.
