2010 Mini List

Posted on January 4th, 2010 in Life List

After the creation of my Life List, rather then setting forth resolutions at the beginning of a new year, I prefer to select a number of things that I hope to cross off in the coming year.  I’ve selected 25 things that I’d like to accomplish in 2010, and gathered them into my mini-list for this year:

2. Visit the Toronto Zoo

23. Learn to roller blade

39. Ride on an actual train

80. Play paintball

86. Make out in a library

102. Go up to the observation deck of the CN Tower

109. Bake homemade bread

116. Eat at the revolving restaurant in the Calgary Tower

175. Spend a weekend in Ottawa (without my kids)

223. Watch all of the Star Wars movies in a row

234. Stay awake from Friday morning to Sunday night

248. Visit Canada’s Wonderland

271. Ride the GO Train

295. Make jam from scratch

334. Visit the Art Gallery of Ontario

371. Collect a set of coins that were minted in the year I was born

386. Touch a stingray

387. Make donuts from scratch

393. Take a spinning class

447. Ride The Mindbender at West Edmonton Mall

451. Dip my toes in each of The Great Lakes

459. Go to a dinner theater

485. Have a pint at Wheat Sheaf, the oldest bar in Toronto

499. Make chocolate-covered bacon

536. LARP

Naturally I never limit myself to ONLY accomplishing things on this list, nor will I stop trying to cross additional list items once I’ve managed to do 25 things.

What are your resolutions/goals/objectives/list items for the year?

we could do the toronto zoo & stingrays in one go. also the go train & wheat sheaf & ago are all doable in one day.

funny story about the wheat sheaf, or rather getting there. i was having trouble finding it, and running behind because of it, and in my attempt to catch a light, jogged across a crowded intersection just a few blocks away. as i do so, my rather low-cut shirt utterly failed me, and as i lept onto the sidewalk on the other side of the street, both breasts popped out of my shirt. in front of a horrified mother & 3 children under the age of 10. therefore my goal, should i return, is to make it there without unintentionally flashing anyone. :P
