Fun Factory Angelo Mini Vibe Review
Posted on March 6th, 2009 in Bedroom Bling, Reviews
It's a well known fact that I'm totally infatuated with all things Fun Factory. It pains me to write this review of the Angelo Mini Vibe, because I was so...disappointed. Ok, it does have a couple of redeeming qualities, such as it's diminutive size and quiet motor. Perfect for travel or discreet play. It's also waterproof, made of medical grade silicone, and easy to keep clean. Unfortunately, those are on the only things earning it any points around here.
As always, the packaging was quite attractive, it included plenty of adequate instruction, and a package of Fun Factory lubricant. This toy operates on 2 AAA batteries, and the controls are a pair of simple + and - buttons, located near the base. There are a variety of vibration intensities and patterns to choose from. Pressing the + once will turn the toy on to it's lowest constant vibration setting. Press the + again to cycle up through several intensities of steady vibration, and then through a number of different vibration/pulsation patterns. Pretty standard as far as these sorts of vibrators go.
The disappointing thing was that the power I've come to expect from Fun Factory just wasn't there. I tried switching out several sets of brand new batteries, only to conclude that this little vibe just can't deliver. It's got potential, I suppose, as a warm up sort of toy or as your little travel companion, but I've got to be honest, you'd be better off picking up one of these guys, who packed plenty of punch ;) You can also use it quite successfully for clitoral stimulation during sex. If you don't need much to get off, this could be just the ticket.
To keep this toy clean, simply scrub it with some anti-bacterial soap and warm water. Mind that you never use silicone lube on it, and since it's got a motor, no boiling or freezing it.
I also found the shape and feel of this toy to be quite lovely. The little curved tip nestles ever-so-perfectly against my clit. It's just so unfortunate that it didn't have enough zing to make me climb the walls.
By the way, have I mentioned PinkCherry's new Canadian site? It's brilliant not having to wait more than a couple of days for my toys, and no crazy customs charges!
