…Because Pointless Stories Are My Thing
Posted on June 6th, 2008 in Polyamory
I've been spending an awful lot of time this week doing all of my belated spring cleaning. Having Varick come over, not to mention Padme's arrival next week, is excellent motivation. There was plenty of catching up to do, and it feels awesome to see the house looking so clean and organized.
Varick was supposed to come over last night for a while, but unfortunately a badly timed bout of food poisoning forced him to take half a day off work and head home and stay close to the toilet for most of the afternoon. He felt better come evening, but I encouraged him to stay home and rest, since he still wasn't 100% and hadn't tried eating anything for supper. As badly as he wanted that massage I'd promised him, he relented and took it easy for the night, promising to come over tonight and Saturday night as well, no matter what.
See, we'd originally only had plans for last night, and then after some back and forth about it, decided that really one night was not enough, and perhaps having plans three nights in a row would be even more excellent than just one. Thus, it wasn't the end of the world that he had to cancel last night, since I still get to see him tonight and tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to a long hot bath together and then spoiling him with a massage. I am just way too good to that boy, LOL.
I should do a bit of a grocery run this afternoon, so that I can pick up some snacks for tonight and maybe a couple of bottles of wine. I have no idea if Varick is much of a wine drinker, but it's best to be prepared, and good wine never goes to waste in this house anyway.
Hopefully there will be more in the way of tasty tidbits for this blog after tonight ;) It's a gorgeous day out and I plan to enjoy the sunshine this afternoon. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Shasta,
Only 5 days til the trip and I’m beyond excited now!! I can’t wait!! It’s so hard to be patient. lol. I heard about your beautiful hot weather on our news this morning. It’s raining and been dreary all week here. I wish I could have some of that sunshine.
I’m sorry to hear last night didn’t work out with Varick. I’m sure tonight and tommorow will be awesome though and you’ll be able to have some fun.
XOXO
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Lora,
You know that is an excellent question, and I am not the least bit offended
I welcome honest and interested questions.
The answers I think will be a blog post unto themselves, so I hope you don’t mind waiting a day or two for me to expand on that
I promise I’ll talk all about kids and poly and how Jack and I intend to handle that bridge when we get to it
Thanks again for the comment!
XO

Plans 3 days in a row? Sounds like NRE to me
I’m not much of a wine drinker, mostly because I’m not much of an anything drinker. Besides Bacardi coolers, I’m still looking for what I like. Could you recomend a few of your favorite wines (that don’t cost a firstborn child) ?

Hey Jade
Thanks for the comment!
Before I recommend wines to you, it would help me to know if you generally prefer beverages that are sweeter, or more tart? Also does the idea of ‘dry’ make you pucker?
I’m not much for dropping a lot of money on wine, and most of my favs cost under 20 bucks where we shop
Let me know the answers to those couple of questions and then I can flip through my wine notes and give you some suggestions!
XO
