Taboo – The Naughty But Nice Sex Show; Part Two

Posted on November 14th, 2006 in Are You Gonna Eat That?, Does All Her Own Stunts, Made In Alberta, Tie Me Up

WOOT! The Sex Show was awesome :D

So Saturday night Jack and I headed into Calgary to pick up V and her friend, whom I suppose needs a letter for purposes of this post and others. Hmmm, we shall call him M. M also happens to be V’s ex from almost a year ago but the group of us are still friends and we all like hanging out together.

We got to V’s and she helped me lace up my corset. It’s easier to have someone else help with it to get the lacing even. We both looked fantastic, and we were super excited to be going out. We went and picked up M and headed over to the Roundup Center at Stampede Park. I bought our tickets ahead of time so we got to by-pass the line up. I couldn’t believe how packed it was.

Other years that we have gone the show was smaller and we went during the day when there were fewer people. It was so busy that it was pretty hard to even look at stuff. We made our way around, browsing many, many sex toys. There was a cool booth full of these hilarious T-shirts that said things like “Too Bad Stupid Isn’t Painful” and “This is your ass – . This is your ass in jail – O”.

We came to this display of body mod jewelry and I found the coolest thing for my eyebrow piercing. It’s a curved bar with really thin, one-inch long spikes on each end. It’s huge and really aggressive looking. Definitely for special occasions only as I don’t think I could handle wearing it with any regularity. It was only like $20 though. I saw some other stuff there too that I really liked. You can check out the website here, it’s still under construction but the accessories page is pretty neat!

At another booth V and Jack were picking out some belt buckles and I was flirting with the cute guy who was working there. He gave me his card and I am seriously debating inviting him out for coffee. He’s 33 and really adorable. I dunno, what do you guys think? I might go the chicken route and just ask him over text message (the number on the card is his cell): “Hey, I met you at the sex show last weekend. I was wearing a blue corset and my friend warned you about me, LOL. Wanna go for coffee sometime?” Is that totally lame? Anyway, I’ll keep you updated on that.

Jack and I checked out some totally lust-worthy bondage furniture from BuBu Bear. They have some of the coolest stuff ever! The furniture they design is fully collapsible for easy transport and discreet storage. Their St. Andrew’s Cross makes me drool. It’s all surprisingly very strong and durable. Jack says we will save up to get the cross and the bench *Grin*

I picked up a really cool anklet from a little booth selling belly dancing outfits and the like. It’s an adjustable, open ended band of braided silver with a bunch of black beads and those flat round ‘coins’ attached to it . I can also wear it as a bracelet or armband if I wish, it’s really beautiful.

We saw some baby tigers there, you could get your photo taken with them. There were also male and female exotic dancers, burlesque dancers, tattoo artists, and piercing studios. The local kinky community had a bit of a dungeon set up and a very light scene going on with a woman being flogged while tied to a St. Andrew’s Cross. They had a cage and some stocks and tables full of bondage and SM implements.

Arabesque was set up at the show as well, and I just LOVE their gorgeous adult jewelry. I would totally adore a few pieces to have as my own. Must add them to Christmas Wish List.

We browsed for porn with minimal success. Nothing really drew my attention and I am hoping that M will hook me up with some copies of DVD’s from his collection ;) Few things are better than free porn!

Once we got tired of fighting the crowds (I would suggest anyone going to the show next year take it in Friday or Saturday during the daytime, before it gets busy) we headed out for dinner. V and I took the boys to our favorite hang out, the Vicious Circle, downtown. We had nachos to start, and despite the claim that they are award winning, they weren’t worth writing home about. I had an Aloha martini and V had a Nancy Boy. Generally I try to have a different one every time I go, but some of them sound just way too revolting. Seriously though, if you are from Calgary or you end up visiting, GO THERE. The atmosphere is really different and the food is awesome.

Once we finished up there V suggested we go to Outlaws. Now, I know it sounds like a total ho-down hick type place but apparently they recently renovated and now it’s much more classy. We drove over there, and went inside. Jack was so pleased because he kept getting carded everywhere we went (apparently at his age that becomes a thrill :P Tee Hee, kidding honey, I looooove you *bats eyelashes adoringly*). There was no cover for V and I, and it hadn’t gotten too busy inside yet. We bellied up to the bar and ordered a round of drinks. V and I had our usual gin with 7up, Jack was drinking beer, and since M doesn’t drink he had coke. We wandered a bit and then found a table and sat down.

We chatted and drank, V and I running out onto the dance floor to shake our asses whenever a good song came on. It was a mix of country and whatever is currently popular on the hit music stations. There were some military guys in the bar, dressed in kilts and their uniform jackets, I assume there were at the Remembrance Day ceremonies earlier. They reminded me of last year when I met R outside of the Drum & Monkey and we had our little one night fling. He was in the army too if I failed to mention that before. I still wonder what became of him, he shipped out to Afghanistan last January. Every time I hear on that news that more Canadian soldiers were killed I watch to see if one of them was him. So far, so good. I mean I hardly knew the guy but we had a moment and I won’t ever forget him.

But I digress…

We closed the bar down and once outside V and I ran to the hot dog cart and Jack bought us each a smokie, which I smothered in ketchup, mustard, and sauerkraut. It was the most delicious thing I ever tasted. We were not totally wasted but the three of us certainly were quite inebriated. If anyone is not familiar with the hot dog cart thing, in most cities these guys come to the bars for the last couple of hours that they are open to sell food to all the hungry drunk people.

M drove us back to V’s and we all plunked down in the living room. Jack and M sat on the couch and I stretched out between them with my head on M’s lap and my legs across Jack. We started talking about unusual masturbation habits and our deepest regrets in life. I am not really big on regrets, but if I could do a few things over I probably would, if only for the sake of saving some other people from emotional pain at my hands.

Pretty soon we all started to get really tired. It was probably about 5am. V had very generously insisted that Jack and I sleep in her bed. She and M slept down stairs on the respective couches. Jack and I crawled into the strange bed and decided to have a round of nice dirty drunken fucking. It was hot and rough and I left a considerable wet spot on V’s sheets (being a darling she didn’t mind and was quite pleased that we enjoyed ourselves).

Jack and I got up early the next morning and headed home. We had such a great time. I totally enjoyed myself, although I felt a little irritated that the sex show was so busy. We learned our lesson and next year we’ll go earlier in the day. I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to, but some of the few might be making an appearance for future HNT’s. Jack had a great time. Him and I don’t often get to just let loose together, or go out and act like we can still kick it with the youngins :P It was fantastic, I am looking forward to next year already!

Did anyone else go to it? Let me know what you thought of it all :D

Ugh I’m so jealous that the sex show already happened in Calgary…I’m probably going this weekend (alone) but it should be pretty fun, since it seems to have really expanded (baby tigers??) Speaking of free porn, my bf goes to sites and downloads it …all you need is a bitorrent client I think. I’ll be sure to let you know how the Edmonton show was =)

Mmmmmmmmmmmm Street Meat! That sounds so sick and wrong :P

KittyCatz, enjoy the Edmonton show! I’ve only been to the one here but I’ll bet it’s expanded a lot there as well. Especially since Edmonton has a much larger kink/poly/sex-positive community.

Totally let me know what it’s like :D Have a great time!

instead of “LOL,” you should use “OMG, ROTFLOL.”
